Get Out Of Town

get out of town; they don't need you no more

that's what my head said

go someplace you never been to before

but i stayed instead

my guitar case on the grand station floor

for folks to drop notes in

everyone dressed up with places to go

and i'm entertaining

now i drive slow on the way back home

looking for unfamiliar places

where i can go to be left alone

from memories and beautiful faces

you know sometimes i wish i could

get out of town
